Community Connection

At the heart of our pumpkin patch is a strong sense of community spirit. Each year, we proudly support a local charity through the donation of all proceeds from the sale of our orange net bags. Last year, we were delighted to be supporting Castleview School in Stirling, helping to raise funds towards a school minibus.
We also employ local schoolchildren from nearby high schools, giving them the valuable opportunity to work their first job, gain work experience, and be part of our team.

In addition to our fundraising efforts, we welcome local schools and community organisations to visit the patch and learn more about farming and life on Arnprior Farm. These educational visits can be arranged directly with us or through RHET (The Royal Highland Education Trust), who help connect young people with food, farming, and the countryside.

Sustainability

Each year, our pumpkin patch is guided by sustainable practices that help protect the environment and support our local ecosystem.

We grow our pumpkins in reusable containers, reducing waste and promoting responsible resource use. To enrich the soil, we use manure as an organic fertiliser, providing essential nutrients naturally.

The pumpkin crop fit into a wider crop rotation, which helps to maintain soil health. We also avoid using chemicals wherever possible on our pumpkins.

Every pumpkin is carefully hand-picked to ensure quality and reduce damage to the plants. These thoughtful practices help keep our pumpkin patch vibrant, eco-friendly, and sustainable year after year.
